Braided River of Talent VIP Program
Coined by Jose Gonsalez

You Belong Here
Basecamp holds all the data of the outdoor industry. So we know who is here, and who we need to proactively seek out and make feel welcome.
To us YOU are the VIPs of our industry.
We need you the most.
Through research conducted by graduate students in the Wright program Basecamp has identified under
-
Thoughtful, inclusive activations & touches that facilitate friendliness (plus the chance to share your needs when you register)
-
We’re doing dog yoga and adoptions, and while we are not encouraging guests bring their pet, if you’ve brought them to OR and can’t leave them in your hotel room they are welcome (must be leashed, under control, and up to date on shots)
-
Alcoholic drinks will absolutely be served (we have 3 signature drinks lined up) but each bar will have a completely sober counterpart or OPTION. So when someone says let’s get a drink, you don’t have to go to a special area or even mention your preferences AT ALL UNLESS YOU WANT TO. Normalize leaving a party MORE hydrated!
-
Kids will not have fun, please don’t bring them. If bringing a baby you carry is your only option for coming, then I guess we’ll meet your baby.
