With over 25 years of experience helping college students, entry-level professionals, and seasoned experts navigate the job market, she excels in crafting personalized strategies, refining resumes, and preparing clients to shine in interviews.

Her deep understanding of the outdoor industry’s workforce needs — combined with her hands-on work developing job training programs for businesses — offers a unique perspective on attracting and retaining top talent. Gen is the creator and instructor of a Career Development course tailored specifically for outdoor and recreation professionals. She holds an MBA and PhD, with published research on workplace issues such as job satisfaction, burnout, and job stressors.

Coach Spotlight: Eboni Preston

Eboni is a dynamic management professional with a deep-rooted passion for leadership, advocacy, and workforce development. With a background spanning nonprofit administration, program operations, policy, and partnerships, she has dedicated over a decade to conservation and academia, helping build systems that empower the next generation of leaders.

Beyond her professional work, Eboni serves as a Board Member for the Next 100 Coalition, Appalachian Trail Conservancy, Georgia Conservation Voters, Association for Outdoor Recreation and Education, and Justice Outside.

She holds a BA from Duke University, an MSW from Columbia University, MBA and MPA from Kennesaw State University, a certificate in Business Analytics from the Wharton School, and a PhD from Southern University and A&M College.

In her free time, Eboni is an avid hiker, reader, and CrossFit enthusiast, always seeking new challenges both outdoors and in the gym.
